Induction Programme-
A lot of stress is laid upon the induction programme
designed in order to familiarise new recruits with the fundamentals
of
the power sector as well provide them an insight
into the hands-on running of the company. A structured cross-functional
training
module for a period of two months ensures that
the recruit is well acquainted with the functioning of all the
work-groups within
the organisation. This includes a visit to power
plants, load despatch centres etc. which is a novel experience
for most new
associates. |

Career Path- PTC has a flat organisation
structure with the entire management grade lying
within 4 levels. Such a structure helps to enable and empower individuals
very early
on in their career. The magnitude and criticality
of responsibility discharged by individuals is much beyond their
job profiles. The
fact that performance is recognised and rewarded
