Shri Tantra Narayan Thakur
Shri Tantra Narayan Thakur served as a Director on the Company's Board since the date of its incorporation. Since 11th October, 2000 Shri Thakur holds the position of Chairman & Managing Director, heading PTC and providing strategic direction to its efforts to introduce the concept of power trading in the country and developing a power market in the process.
In his previous assignment (since June 1995) as Director (Finance & Financial Operations), Power Finance Corporation Ltd., New Delhi he was responsible for mobilising resources for the company (a Development Financial Institution for the Power Sector in India) for on-lending to power projects in the public sector (both state and central) as well as in the private sector including captive power plants. As the Chief Finance Officer and Director on the company's Board, he had the crucial role in not only arranging funds both from the domestic and international capital markets and the multilateral and bilateral institutions, but also in structuring products like term loans, working capital loans, technical assistance, guarantees for borrowings, advisory and consultancy services, etc. to the Company's clients in the power sector. He effectively managed the foreign exchange risks as well as the interest risks for the foreign exchange borrowings and investments.
Shri Tantra Narayan Thakur has over 30 years of extensive experience, as a member of the Indian Audit & Accounts Service, a prestigious Civil Service in India, in Treasury Management, Financial Management (including Resource Mobilisation, Investment decisions and Appraisal of Projects for Project lending), Accounts, Cash Management, Budgeting and Budgetary Control, Human Resource Management etc. After two-year training in Financial Management, Accounting and Audit, he worked for seven years in the offices of the Accountants General of three states in India, for four years in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, for three years as Dy. Secretary/Director in the Government of India, for one year as Secretary to Chief Minister of a major State, for five years as Principal Director of Audit under the Comptroller & Auditor General of India and four years as Director (Finance) in Power Finance Corporation of India Ltd.
He was deputed to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at Geneva for 12 weeks, in two spells during 1994-95, for audit of that organisation on behalf of the United Nations Board of Auditors. Completed the audit for the year 1994 and submitted the Audit Report covering, inter-alia, Accounts, Treasury Management (including Cash Management), Budgetary Control, Procurement, Programme Management, Human Resource Management, Materials Management and nternal Audit.

Shri Shashi Shekhar
Shri Shashi Shekhar, Director, PTC India Ltd., an IAS Officer of the Tamil Nadu Cadre, 1981 Batch, joined PTC India Ltd. on 29.6.2007. He held various senior positions in the State as well as the Central Govt. He was District Collector of Pudukotttai and the Nilgiri Districts in Tamil Nadu. He was Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Minerals, Tamil Nadu Urban Development Fund and Tamil Nadu Transport Development Finance Corporation ( a NBFC) at different times. He was also Finance Commissioner to raise extra budgetary resources from the market. He was Director and later Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power from 1998-2003 during which period he was also Director General of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) in charge. He looked after in the Ministry of Power various divisions, viz., Thermal, Coal, Distribution Reform, Distributed Generation & Distribution, Rural Electrification, Energy Efficiency, Transmission, Research and Development, Training and Clean Development Mechanism. He has vast experience in the power sector. He was associated in preparing Energy Conservation Bill, 2001 which was enacted in 2001. He also prepared Action Plan of the BEE. He made presentations as a resource person at different international conferences on sustainable power development held outside the country, organized by different UN agencies.
Shri Deepak Amitabh
Shri Deepak Amitabh, is a Master of Science (Physics) and belongs to the 1984 batch of Indian Revenue Service. He is on deputation at PTC as CFO since September 2003 and has more than 23 years of work experience in auditing, financial analysis and revenue mobilization. He has acted as Financial Advisor to Director General Naval Projects, Mumbai and has held in the Indian Revenue Service, the post of Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, New Delhi and Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai. As Head of Finance, he was associated with fund raising programme (Initial Public Offer) of PTC as also raising of Rs. 1200 crores through Qualified Institutional Placement and formation of PTC India Financial Services (PFS) & Athena Energy Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (AEVPL). He has also spearheaded the fuel linkages services offered by PTC to various IPPs. He is also on the Board of PFS & AEVPL.
Shri Gireesh B Pradhan
Shri Gireesh B. Pradhan holds the postion of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Government of India. He has earlier worked as Secretary to the Hon'ble Speaker of Lok Sabha and Joint Secretary to the President of India. He is a Director on the Board of the Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd and is also a Member of the Audit Committee in the same company.

Sh. Satnam Singh
Sh. Satnam Singh represents the promoter company Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) where he holds the position of Director (Finance & Financial Operations). He is a management graduate and has got 26 years' experience in the areas of Business Development, Finance, Accounts, Budgeting, Corporate Planning, Consultancy Services, Power Tariff Formulation etc. mostly in power sector companies such as PFC (8 years plus), NJPC (4 years plus) and NTPC (12 years plus).
Shri R.G. Yadav
Shri R.G. Yadav , ED (POWERGRID) has been appointed as Director in PTC w.e.f. 12th March 2007
Shri M.S. Verma
Shri M.S. Verma has held important positions including the Chairman of State Bank of India and the Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in the past. He has rich experience in banking and other sectors of the Indian Economy. He is a Director on the Boards of International Asset Reconstruction Co. Pvt. Ltd., Uttranchal Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd., Alliance Capital Asset Management India Pvt. Ltd., Contemporary Health Pvt. Ltd., Srei International Finance Ltd., Electro Steel Castings Ltd and IDBI Bank Ltd. Further, he is Chairman/ Member of the Committee (s) in International Assets Reconstruction Co. Pvt. Shri D.P. Bagchi
Shri D.P. Bagchi retired from the Indian Administrative Service, an elite civil service in India. Among the positions held during his tenure with the Government is Chief Secretary to the Government of Orissa. He has rich experience and has worked in various areas in the government. He is presently also the Chairman of Dispute Resolution Committee of MMTC Ltd.
Shri P. Abraham
Shri P. Abraham has served as Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Power during the first phase of reforms in the power sector. He has rich experience in the field of administration and specifically the Power Sector as he is also a former Chairman of Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). Presently, he is also a Director in Future Polyesters Limited, Flex Industries Limited and Jindal Power Company.
Shri G.P. Gupta
Shri G.P. Gupta is a past Chairman of Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI). He has rich experience in banking, Finance and other sectors of the Indian Economy. He is a Director on the Boards of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd., BHEL, National Aluminium Company, M.P. Power Generation Company; Swaraj Engineers Ltd., and Birla Sun life Insurance Company Ltd. He is Chairman/ Member of Committees in National Aluminum Company, J&K Bank, BHEL, Swaraj Engineers Ltd. and HAL.
